Love Transfer Station
PNM, along with the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe MIX and Youthworks sponsored and supported this project. Collaboratively designed by sculptor Don Kennell and Christie Green, this repurposed construction dumpster provides playful parklet respite to passerby in the Llano/St. Michael’s Avenue area.

Heart shaped tables and platforms.
The parklet, complete with Cupid’s arrows as well as a large heart shaped tank that serves as passive water catchment and a well to be filled with City water for irrigating the plantings.
Native and edible plant species such as Sand Lovegrass, Virgin’s Bower, Snowberry, Eversweet Strawberries and Red Twig Dogwood speak the vegetative language of love.
